Teach Soap

First and foremost, I love BrambleBerry products but am trying to find a few major carriers as an alternative for variety, scents BB doesn't carry, out of stock, etc. I've narrowed it down to those that seem to have fair prices and decent shipping speed to WA. I'm a member of the Soap Scent Review Board (http://soapscentreview.obisoap.ca/index.php), which is wonderful but not always the best source for information like customer service, overall product quality/consistency, and shipping speed. Can anyone give reviews on the following suppliers I'm considering...?

Save on Scents. Huge selection, good shipping terms, but not enough reviews anywhere for me to get a very good idea of their product quality. Is it consistent or more hit-or-miss like Nature's Garden? Also, which of their concentrations (SOS, Ultra, XC) is the best value?

Oregon Trail. Not the biggest selection, unfortunately, but the shipping speed would be good for me in WA and they have a couple of lip flavors I'm interested in.

Peak Candles. Good prices and I've heard a couple of people praise their customer service, but that's all I know about them.

From the three you listed, I've ordered from Peak. Good prices, good quality, excellent customer service and fast shipping...I like them! If there are certain fragrances you're interested in, I might be able to help...just let me know.

SOS has been a hit and miss.
Oregon Trails is a little slow.
Peak, I only ordered twice and no problems there.

I've ordered from Save on Scents, and I find their shipping to be decently fast, but they're in Brooklyn and I'm in Maine, so there you go. They do offer USPS flat rate priority shipping, which has kept my shipping costs when using them low. I have emailed them before, and though the reply came quickly, it was rather genaric and it didn't *entirely* answer my question. I get the lowest concentration (is it the SOS?) mainly because I'm frugal like that. I have found their fragrance oils to be pretty nice, and I do like that I can try out 5 1oz samples for a little over $20. Overall I've been satisfied with them, and plan on ordering from them again. My only complaint is that they use plastic bottles for their fragrance oils, so I switch them over to amber glass as soon as I can.

I haven't ordered from the suppliers you mentioned, but I'm also in WA, and I often drive into Portland to shop at Shay & Company. Their prices are awesome! And Joy, who is usually at the front desk, is always great to chat with about fragrances. They're a great place for me to get heavier items that are more expensive to ship - like oils and MP base. But I also love to buy fragrances from them because I can smell them in person before I buy.

Since I live 30 min. from them, I don't have them ship to me. But since they are close, I'm sure it wouldn't take long to have them ship to you.

Another west coast suggestion is Essentials by Catalina. They're in CA, so you can't just drive down and visit - unless you really like road trips, then I say go for it! lol I haven't ordered from them before, but I've heard good reports from other people. I am pretty sure that the soap base Shay & Co carries is manufactured by Essentials by Catalina, and I'm really happy with it!

I just wanted to say...it is freakin' amazing how many suppliers there are out there! You'd think one's initial marathon web-searching would find them all. But no! I keep finding out about new ones through this site.

Has anyone heard of or tried Pure Fragrance Oils out of California?? They have some scents I would love to try and some that BB doesn't. I need Mulberry for an order and need to find another supplier. BTW- I am in the Indiana. Don't mind waiting on shipment either. I would like to try PFO because they have 1 oz. bottles and alot of type scents. Thanks everyone.

Are there oils body-safe?? Does it smell anything like Home Interiors Mulberry?? I love that candle. I have an order for mulberry, that needs to be ready in March. Also does it accelerate trace?
