When i'm cooking dinner i always have listening to music on my phone
and also do the same when away making soap.

Mine is Placebo - favorite band since i was 13 (i'm 27 now)

Some people have to work in silence i.e. no music, tv or radio, etc..

What do you listen to when ur soaping?

Light techno, some disco, adult contemporary....whatever Pandora dishes up from the radio stations I set up.

I don't really listen to anything. I have twin toddlers who are in their bedroom playing with their door closed that I need to keep an ear out for if its not naptime. If the kids are asleep, I listen to Kevin Smith or other SMODcast podcasts or nothing at all. I tried an audiobook once and I don't know if its that I've read the book before so I know what happens or if I just tuned out the book because I was so focused on getting the measurements right, but I didn't pay the least bit of attention to the audiobook.

When soaping, I am that quiet person. I want to be able to focus on what I am doing. I get distracted so easily...I am sure I have ADD!

Now when I am cleaning, that is a whole different ball game! I have to have music going. I get more done that way. I have a VERY diverse range of music preferences that it's anyone's call as to what I will put on! Just not an acid rock or rap fan. Not super keen on blue grass but I can tolerate it when I am in certain moods.

Ever since moving into the Soap house (July of 2011), I've had the Last of the Samarai CD in the player and listen to that. It's relaxing and in the background. I usually find it a little too quiet in there while I'm working and the music helps the time go by faster.

I crank up my iTunes and let it run. I have a wide range of music from Country to death metal. But usually its all the songs I can dance to or are my supreme favorites. It can range from the BeeGee's, to Pink, to Hughie Lewis, to Beyounce and Missy Elliott

I have an odd mixture of all forms of music. Lately its been Madonna's newest album mixed with Muse's newest album and a lot of 60s/70s sing along favorites. ABBA for the win!! Always love grooving to Bob Seger!

Some of my recent favorites are Enigma, Deep Forest, Delerium and for something completely different "The Best of Natacha Atlas".

I used to listen to music: The Pogues, Eliza Gilkison, Yasmin Levy, The Chieftans... But I switched to lectures though iTunes U. Right now, it's a course on the early Middle Ages. I finished one on the Hebrew Scriptures as interpreted by Jews and Christians, and a philosophy course on death. I miss studying!
