Teach Soap

I figured this was the best place to ask this question; My hair over the last few years has begun to curl, of which I expected it to do. Now it's quite long, mid waist. But when I take a shower at night, brush it, then go to bed, in the morning the curls are there and look good. (Not in the current unbrushed stage) but then I brush my hair and 'poof' gone. Goes straite with a few waves to it. So here's my question, how do I get the curls to stay in my hair without a bunch a product? Now I'm not by any shape of the imagination educated on things girly like this as I've not cared until now. (And I only do now for those days were I feel like to doing my hair) So if I haven't given enough info please ask me questions but also any advice on how to do it? Has anybody had this problem? (If you want to call it a problem.)

Mine does the same thing and I don't have time to try to be girlie anymore either. Before I had kids I'd struggle to blow dry and "style" my hair. Now I consider it a good day if I can sneak into the shower at all. I have curly long hair (until I brush it). It also is very fine in texture, so I try not to fight it anymore. I wash and condition about every other night and if I need it in between I use a dry shampoo on just my roots in the morning. If I'm "styling" it I just smooth on some shine serum into the ends. I don't ever brush it or the curls just turn to mess. Fingers do the trick just fine to separate tangles and curls once its dry. I don't even own a brush anymore

Ditto.......I pour about one teaspoon of jojoba
into a bottle of aloe gel and shake, to use as a gel.
The jojoba, or any oil added makes it so it's not
crunchy.

12oz bottle of aloe with 1/2 - 1 teaspoon jojoba and shake. (Other oils will work
like coconut, avacado, etc)
It stays mixed together. My routine is:
Shampoo bar, (I used to buy them from a neat lady in Ohio...but now make my own
Vinegar rinse once a week
Condition with cheap conditioner that has no silicone.
Lightly gel.

Hairspay for kinky bangs:
Honeyquat has a weird property of turning gel to liquid.
I fill a spray bottle almost to the top with aloe gel, then
add two capfulls of honeyquat and shake. The gel turns spayable
without losing strength......perfect hairspray.
And, great for hair.
