Teach Soap

so I thought what the heck I would back a double batch of my wedding cake soaps. WRONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! Butterflies arent sticking, forgot glitter after shrink wrapping them. so I've decide to stop while I'm ahead which is really behind... since my soap didnt look as good as other ones. Ever have one of those days? I'm giving up soap making for a while. cause nothing but chunk comes out right. pretty sad.

Don't give up, Melissa, you make wonderful soaps! Sometimes we just have those "off" times where things just don't go quite right. Give yourself a break today, and then you can start fresh. Good luck!

PS Did I mention forgetting to oil my brand new mold? Oh well, the soaps came out with major help from my husband. Me thinks it's time for a beer.

sometimes we just have to take a step back...something I probably should have done today LOL. My lotion turned out soooo good. Then I tried to do an ITP and I am hoping that it doesnt look like puke when I cut it.

I agree with you, Dawn, that sometimes it's good to take a step back. While you take a short break, remember your successes and why you enjoy it. Then you'll be ready to to soap again.

so true...my ITP, well its another matter today I cut it and I have to say that DONT think its pretty, but it is somewhat interesting. I am now considering using that method with a series of browns in my PVC pipe to make ones that look like cut tree trunks, since that is how this one turned out. LOL

Maybe your "cut tree trunks" could have some critters on them like ants, ladybugs, etc. Good luck on your show this weekend . . . even though that was a different thread!

I get those days too. When everything comes out wrong. I just step back, clear my head, and just chalk it up as a lemon day.

thanks Jilly! I booked this show 2 months ago, and now we are going to have rain...WHY????? It could have rained all summer I would not have cared, but on this weekend of all weekends...sigh.

For the ITP I used 6 different colors and of course all brights, but next time I do that in the PVC I will be putting each color in separately instead on in the pot. But the tree trunk look is kind of interesting.

So if you have a "market" umbrella or one of those pop up canopies, then bring it along! Get some PMA and your show will be more successful.
