Teach Soap

I am moving into a good sized two bedroom apartment. I wanted a second bedroom with the idea of it being my soap room. So the room is 12x11. It has one closet. I plan on having a desk in there and using my old laptop for soap stuff, and maybe a dresser for storage if needed. Right now my supplies are in walmart drawers and the other stuff that doesnt fit is sitting on top or on the floor. I want to pimp out my room. I want it to be as organized as it should be and I want to have planty of room for everything. So any ideas? I am in the process of making a grocery/other stuff list for Target. How do you stay organized and if you have a whole room what have you done with it? I'm so excited to have a whole room I just dont know what to do.

I posted some pics of when I bought out Ikea and set up my soaping area somewhere. And if you can find Heather's thread, she's currently building a soap workshop... to give you some ideas.

I am in the midst of turning half my garage into a soap studio.

I just recently made a huge score on craigslist! I got some great storage type shelving to eliminate the major clutter to create room for soaping. Got it from a business who has outsourced the warehouse part of their business and was selling their huge building. While there I noticed that they had this nice work table sitting around and got a great deal on that too! Before I found the table, I found several other listings on craigslist for tables.

I'd recommend reading this article on Teach Soap by Anne-Marie: http://teachsoap.com/keeping-organized/ She has some great inexpensive ideas on things to use to get organized. I'm planning to use her file box as storage box idea, and her pegboard idea.

I too am turning a bedroom into a soap room! Just need to do the plumbing and install the cabinets now!

My daughter's new house has a 10x16 ft. shed that is fully drywalled, air conditioned and has cabinets, electric and a sink/plumbing. She said I can use it for making my soaps! Too bad she lives in FL and I live in TN!

And Linda...I am with Heather. If my daughter EVER gets a house like that, I'm moving to where she is. I suppose one day I could just build one in my own backyard...hmmm....
