Please? Pretty Please? I checked my 'things to do on the farm list"...I begged...And still, the answer is NO!

45 out of 50 chickens - sent to freezer camp (mostly, actually it's 'on ice in a cooler' camp right now)
100lb hog - also at "camp ice chest"
Yard is a hot mess, house is not far behind...and I am ready to do something crafty for a change!!! AHHHH!! I yell and stomp my fit having a tantrum fit, because I that is the only thing I can do!

But now...I still have to get the chickens weighed, bagged up, labeled and freezer ready...hog needs to become sausage, chorizo and possibly tamale meat (we'll see how ambitious I am) and lord knows all that stuff with hooves out in the yard STILL wants to eat! Thus I have to stop twice a day and do that - not that I begrudge them their meals, yet the TIME I need to put into that each day slows me down PLUS today was feedstore day. I have SO SO SO much feed to unload out of my truck - I dread feed store day...

Then...THEN I say, I have to get ready for 25 baby chicks next week...and 8 ducks 2 weeks later....rabbits need some loving and to be bred, goats need blood pulled for pregnancy testing (WOO HOO! I'm excited about part of that...not the part where work and blood are involved, but the results!)

And, I KNOW I am forgetting something! I know it! but what...I couldn't tell you...

All I know is I want to go make soap and I can't, so I have allotted myself a few minutes to play online instead...I am not quite finished pouting about it yet, please feel free to join in the "I am tired and whiney" club if you would like - I know I am the president of it today!

I feel your pain!!!

Last week I threw a major hissy fit - I was hormonal, so took me a while to calm down and figure out "why" I was so upset. After thinking about it I realized that it was because I had so much crap to do, not enough time to do it, and I didn't have ANY time for making soap and therefore hadn't made any for a week.

No wonder I was so irritable!

Yikes, that means I'm particularly gripey with no excuse! I am avoiding making a soap that has a scent I don't enjoy but I still can make soap. Made 2 batches today because I wanted to play with holiday soaps! Hope you all get to soap more soon! Nadalotta, lol you crack me up. Hope things settle down soon for you and you can get back to the important stuff - soap! :D

Oh, I so feel your pain! We've been trying to get the house ready for my parents' visit later this week. It -sounds- easy enough, right? Nope! Had to clean up the still-in-progress workshop and move my stuff in there. WOW I have a LOT of bathworks stuff!! OMG! Still have to finish cleaning and tidying the spare room. Need to finish the chicken soup I started last week, and the laundry (which is always never ending), and bath my dog... clean the cat boxes. Um.. the dishwasher exploded 40 tonnes of foam all over the place today too (oops?), that took a while to fix. We hung up some new blinds the other day, still need to do 3 more. Installed 1/2 of the baseboards in the workshop yesterday morning and apparently the "master carpenter" who built the house can't measure 16" for studs, they were all pretty random.

Ugh, what else do I have to do? Oh yeah! Pull the weeds out of the cement patio and power wash it, and hopefully pick up a couple mums so my yard looks a little less 'ghetto'. Clean the basement, which is our huge master suite and has about 4 million pounds of dog fur in it. Keeshonden = fur everywhere, constantly. And I HAVE to make 11 4oz jars of cream lotion this week too, because they need to be sent in by Oct 8 and I will be in Canada next week.

*facedesk* someone please make tomorrow have more than 24 hours? Warcraft's new expansion comes out tomorrow, and I want to play some... but the day is too short! My new computer also comes tomorrow....

No soap making for me until after Oct 10. /die

Bummer! You'll be counting down the days until you can soap again! Just think of all the new soap ideas waiting to burst out into a mold. :)

Sitting here at work pulling the dreaded double shift (2pm till 6am!) All these comments sure did put a smile to face. Knowing that I'm not alone in a world that where I cannot bend the "time -space continuium" to accomplish a 'list of things to do' which is longer than Father Time's beard.

I just got over the stress of trying to get my NJ driver's license too, ugh... no more stress world!!! No more!!!! I did get the license... and it only took me 5 months and 6 trips to the MVC! Hopefully when my parents are here and then when I go to Canada for Thanksgiving I will be able to relax some.

That is what we all need! Soap and relaxation! And then more soap.

Heather, are the driving tests still given by State Troopers? I was scared to death when this huge Trooper got in the car with me.

Here's a tip for your baseboards - use liquid nails on the back of the baseboard - then it won't matter if you can't find all the wall studs. It will still stay tight to the wall. 8)

 I completely understand. I feel this way every day I am sitting at work staring at the computer wasting precious time that could be spent soaping!

I sympathize. After the double rebatching of an herbal HP castille my boyfriend forbid me from any more costly experimental batches that don't contribute to getting the company on it's feet. So I'm ready for comissions from friends and family for batches, but he hasn't done the numbers on pricing of add ons so I can't open for commissions yet... Ffffffffffffff... I just want to make some soap. :<

I would so love to take some farm chores off your hands. I dream of having livestock and other animals around. I miss my old horsey days...mucking stalls, grooming, tossing hay bales...

So if I ever get out to Texas...you have several hours of labor from me to put to good use!

I was just the written portion of the test to make sure I understand NJ law, I failed it the first time because I hadn't even seen a handbook yet! I passed the second time though!

Nada, what do you play online? There are a couple gamers hiding around here
