Teach Soap

So I just noticed you can set up a store on fb, and sell directly from there. Does anyone on the forum use fb as a selling site? Do you like it? Have you gotten a lot of sales from it?

Not sure exactly what you're talking about, but I have a business page on facebook, which is kinda like a fan page, looks like the BB fan page. Is what you're alking about different from that? If so, I'm very interested in learning more!

I added the app to my business page when it was free... as soon as I had time to list inventory, I got an email saying the "trial" was ending, and you would need to pay to use it.

I said screw it and ended up self-promoting my website through Facebook.

I've tried doing a few different Facebook options, including using Payvment store front. I even have an Etsy facebook app that generates coupons for discounts if you share an item. I gave up, no one ever uses it.
Ever since Facebook added their promotion pay posts, I don't get any traffic on my fan page.

I recently liked a fellow soaper's page, and noticed you can buy her products right off Facebook. I just wondered if any of you found it useful. I have almost 900 fb friends, so if I could make it easier for them to buy since we're all on fb, I'd look into the store feature.

Emily from Shieh Design soaps has a Fb store, believe it's through Payvment, if you want to check it out on her page. It's free, I used it for a bit then dumped it for an Etsy app for fb.

90% of my sales are from my FB page. The other 10% is Markets.

Sure thing, Linda! I opened a store, and added one product to it. I'm going to add more and see what happens. If it's a viable option, then I'm going to disable my website. No need in paying for one when you can have a free facebook store. I don't care how it looks. I just want the sales.

The customer has to have a paypal account, or in order to accept credit cards, the seller has to have a Paypal Merchant account. Payvment doesn't take any fees from the transactions.

I'm trying to set mine up too, Semplice! I didn't know there was such a thing, so thinks for posting about it!

I started working on my FB store this afternoon. It was pretty simple to get going. Once I get a few pictures taken, I'll upload them and open the store. Should be interesting!
