Teach Soap

I keep winning gift boxes that contain neem oil! So I now have 3 bottles and I really only need 1. So I'm going to give the other 2 away! Who wants to try some? It has made our friend's fungal skin infection soooo much better! Smelly, but awesome!

OOB I find it smells like rancid garlic or something. But in the soap it doesn't smell too bad. The guy I make that soap for doesn't find it has any bad odour at all.

Rats thats what i get for taking a nap

I had heard a lot about Neem oil's benefits to skin related problems. One day I bought a 50ml bottle. When I applied to my hand it smelled horribly. Since that day I never touched Neem oil. Let me know if somebody gets convinced here to buy your 2 Neem bottle.

Haven and Carrie, I am wondering if you have had a change to work\try the neem oil? Did you like it... did it smell?

I did use it in a batch for my daughter. It smelled horrible! Good news is it dissipates in the soap and once fully cured you can not smell the Neem at all. I still need to ship Heather some goodies but I ran short on supplies. I have been busy lately though so she will hopefully be getting a nice surprise in the mail soon.

It did as a matter of fact it did. It was so funny cause she was so worried about the smell but once the bars cured, she loved them. I need to make another batch cause it looks like my son is developing some eczema on his arms. I swear if it's not one thing, it's another!

I've used neem oil in my CP soap for years and my face especially loves it. I had rosacea for quite a few years and after making neem oil soap with patchouli & lavender EO's it disappeared. A good friend also swears by it, as it always clears up his face from breaking out. The scent does fade a bit after the soap cures, but with the addition of the EO's I use, it's a great earthy scent, which takes me back to my hippy days LOL!!

Chris that is good to know. I am going to get some soon. I love those "hippy days"! Are you willing to share the percentage of neem oil you use? If not don't worry... I will start looking through my notes soon.... vacation is coming at the end of the month. TIA
