So, I'm cleaning my carpets today and decided that I hate the smell of the soap I have! So I walk back and grab a lavender fo and put two drops into my clean water portion of the cleaner to see if it masks it! Not only did it mask it but my whole apartment smells amazing! Not overbearing but just right! Do you guys use your fos or eos for anything other than soaping or candle making?

I saw someone posted on fb (I think it was BB) about using lemon or lavender EOs in their vacuums, and lime EO for washing dishes because it's a natural grease-cutter.

I use EO's or FO's mixed with soapy water to clean the floors and I add a couple of drops to my vaccum cleaner.

We occasionally get ants in the summer. I put a couple of drops of cinnamon (cassia) EO in a bucket of hot water and mop the floors. It seems to keep them at bay until the boric acid traps kick in. And the kitchen smells so nice when I'm done!

I also use EO's in the vacuum cleaner and for mopping. I have a handheld household steam cleaner - I love to place a few drops of Orange 10x on my cleaning rags when using it. I did a little experiment over the last several months, and I totally believe in their power - because when I did use them prior to showing my house to potential buyers, I always got an offer.
