Teach Soap

Calendar must be wrong because I'm having serious soaping mishaps today!

I just sat down a little while ago to work on my Dad's Father's Day soap gift basket. I was too curious and couldn't resist, so I picked up the clear mold I just poured the M&P into to see how my "work" looked. A big no-no, I know, when it hasn't even been in the mold for more than a minute. So butterfingers (that'd be me, of course) ends up spilling half of it out on my kitchen table. And while I'm trying to set that down as it's burning my fingertips just a little bit, I end up knocking over my fragrance oil, which of course, I didn't cap up after I pulled what I needed from it.

Thank goodness it is only soap & oil and cleans up nicely.....but still, I think I'm backing away from the M&P today, before I do any more *damage*

Boy, am I glad I did not know that Friday the 15th is as bad as Friday the 13th! My soaps came out nicely today... although one butterfly did end up upside down... had to fish him out and teach him the correct way to fly.
