Well at least for me! LOL

I managed to get an old mixer (works like a charm) and 6 silicone baking trays to use as molds, and a silicone sheet. All for about 63 bucks. I am so tickled. I was talking to my Mom about getting a cheap mixer to play with making whipped soaps. We checked out Walmart, then headed to the resale store just to see if by chance they had a mixer. They had one on display in the window. I know I am new here, but I wanted to share with someone that would understand my excitment!!

Congrats on your haul! Make sure that the beaters on the mixer are stainless steel. If they are not, they could turn black from reaction with lye and contaminate your soap.

Wow, so lucky!! I went by our only thrift store a few days ago and found two mini square silicone mold sheets for a dollar each, but they were cash only. When I went back a couple days later with cash they were gone.

the full size sheets were 2.50 each and the others were .70 each. so I think I scored pretty well.

the puzzle piece and the bottle shaped ones are IKEA and the two fruit ones are jello molds LOL. I'm itching to get in there and make some soap!!

Sooooo happy for you! I have people watching for a stand mixer for me, but so far no luck! I am sure when the time is right one will show up. Maybe I am supposed to finish cleaning up my house first?
