That's right... on a budget! Here is the link to the soaping101 youtube video of how to make your own silicone putty. Nice idea if you want to see what its like, before paying for a molding compound kit!

I've tried silicone sealant before. It deteriorates as a mold too fast and becomes soft, mishapen and sticky over time. Save your money and buy the real silicone moldmaking compound.

Here is another one, from WSP this time, incase your next order happens to be from them!

I've seen videos for both brands, both seem easy enough, but I suggest the BB one (seems a little easier). Anne Marie has a nice Soap Queen TV episode for it too!

If you wanted a mold that you can use over and over the other silicone would probably be better but for small one-time projects and embeds I think the homemade stuff would be perfect. 8)
