Teach Soap

hi guys, has anyone noticed an increased olfactory sensitivity to strong fragrances since you've been making soaps, lotions etc?

i find i'm more sensitive to stronger scents now than before. just wondering if anyone was.

For me that has been true, but I still prefer strongly scented products (not exceedingly so like L*sh or B&BW though)

Interesting. I haven't noticed any extra sensitivity, but my husband has! He complains now every time I make soap, almost doesn't matter what fragrance I use.

my favorite scent has always been B&BW Juniper Breeze. I have a hard time wearing that now. so sad.

well only one thing to do. make myself something!

This is a very interesting topic to me now, even though I've only been working with soaping and scents for 2 months. I've noticed several scents that were tolerable to me at first, are now absolutely repulsive. This includes the BB Oatmeal Milk & Honey, the Passionfruit Rose, and the Rosehip Jasmine. I'm wondering if this is just the beginning, and if I'll feel this way about most of the scents I liked at first.

I agree with the oatmeal milk and honey, loved it at first but now I think its horrid.

I'm not a big fan of vanilla fragrances anymore. To me they just smell too sticky sweet. Although I DO like the smell of vanilla extract, so go figure.

Is it sad that I love to go sniff the bottle of homemade vanilla extract we have in our cupboard?
