I just got engaged over the weekend! =) YAAAY
And so now I'm in wedding mode. Has anyone made any soaps, lip balms, sea salts, etc, for wedding or party favors?
I was toying with the idea of making everyone a lip balm (custom label to have my wedding details) and a heart shaped soap for everyone in an organza bag for the wedding favor.
Any other ideas or things that you have seen?

That sounds like a great idea. I have made wedding favor soaps before and they were very much appreciated.

Congrats on your engagement!
I've done soap favors in the bride's favorite colors and scent(s). Small soap and one lip balm is definitely doable. How many people do you expect to attend the wedding? I've done organza bags, cloth and satin bags, mini chinese take-outs & clear mini boxes so the pretty soap can show through. Make sure to let people know that it's soap and not candy! Keep it away from kids if you can. They will try to eat just about anything. I speak from experience. :lol:

Date is sometime in October (short engagement b/c we dated for 3.5 yrs already) but not sure which Saturday yet.
And I hope children don't eat my soap. But this is the reason that we stopped using a chocolate candy mold for bath melts, they looked like white chocolate goodies!
This is going to be the busiest year of my life so far: planning a wedding, buying a house (in the summer hopefully), starting this soap/lotion/lip balm business, keeping a jewelry business going, and working full time during the week.
Anyone have any wedding color ideas for October/fall weddings? I like teal and ____ something, dunno what.

Themes for October 2012 weddings are wine/burgundy, teal, cream/gold color scheme. So you're right on target with teal.
