Teach Soap

Looks like I'm going to go register my business name in the next few days!

We are hoping for "Naked Soap" however there is a smiliar named business in another state, so hopefully we can have it.... my second choice is "Love Your Skin" and I'm desperetly thinking of a third! (originally I wanted something with the word 'goddess' in it, but don't want to discourage my male customers)

Would like to know what you think?

**Naked Soap is because I want my soap to mainly sell because of their oils and butters, not the fragrances used or colours added, I have a range of MP soap at the moment that I sell which is uncoloured unfragranced and i call it 'naked' so thats where the name come from in case you are wondering

Have you googled any of these names? What about Etsy or ArtFire? Are there any others registered beside the one in another state? How similar is it? I don't know how it is in Australia, but here in the US another company (with same or almost the same name) could send you a cease and desist letter and you would have to change your name.

What clientele are you trying to reach? What geographic? What age, education or income level?

I've googled the one similar to the name i've picked but nothing came up, so they might not be activly using it. in Australia they will not let you register a busniess name if it a) already exists or b) is similiar to another name already registered. Thats why I need a back up name.

Im not going to be selling on etsy or artfire or anything like that so no i havnt looked at them. I will mainly be selling at markets, so my clients will be locals, not aiming for novelty based soaps either so more for an older target audience, im thinking females aged in their teenaged years and up. I will be making guys soap also but Im thinking it will mainly be females that are my clients.

With naked soap, I would expect to see no colors or fragrances in any of the bars. I like the second one better. How about Royality soaps?

What about 'Bec's Bubbles'? Or Back to Nature?

What ever name you pick, make sure it's easily matched with 'soaps'. You want people to read it and immediately know what you sell.

With naked soap i will be aiming for no colours (or natural colours only) and no frgrance, just let the butters and oils speak for them selves, however i will also have a limited edition range of colours and smellies, just because thats what i have been making and what most of my people want. I just want to change my direction a bit.

And i dont really want the word nature or natural or anything hmmm.

i forgot to add, thats MY feelings about the name Naked Soap listed above, my husband likes that name because... well... you get naked when you're in the shower using it.
