Just on the site looking around and I was wondering where the name came from, anyone know?

I started the company when I was 20 years old (history of BB is here: http://www.soapqueen.com/about/anne-maries-story/). Even when I started, I knew I didn't want to just be tied to soap. I wanted to be able to do more than just soap. So, I sat down at my piano, and in between practising different songs, I kept a list of possible names for Bramble Berry. After a few days, I picked my favorite, which was 'Brambles'. Sadly, there was a cafe in Napa Valley with the same name so I set about trying to come up with a creative solution. BrambleBerry.com was available and that clinched the deal for me.

It took us 8 years to get trademarked because the USPTO was worried that people would come to us to buy brambleberries, which is any berry that falls off the bramble (go figure - I thought I had made up the name entirely!) but eventually, we were trademarked and now, we have trademarks in the US, Canada, China and we're pending trademark in Australia.

I'm impressed by the fact that you started the company at 20 years old! I don't even want to think about the things I was doing at 20!

Although that takes me waaaaay back, I love having those memories popped back in my head. So young, so innocent, sooo much energy and sooo much fun And I think it was a good choice for a name.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I got super lucky - right place at the right time with just the right amount of 'devil may care' attitude of a 20 year old. =)
