My husband travels in his job & brings home the soaps. Is there a way that I can melt these down to remold? I would like to make them into larger bars.

Welcome!
Most of the soaps in hotels are syndet bars and not real soap. They will be harder to remelt. You can try shredding them, adding a small amount of water and cook it til the mixture looks like mashed potatoes. Then glop into a mold. You would really be better off either buying a MP soap base, or the rebatch base that BrambleBerry sells. http://www.brambleberry.com/Rebatch-Bases-C14.aspx
Or, make your own soaps with oils and lye. It's not that difficult.
