Alrighty, I just found out today that we will be moving from OKC to northern Cali by April 1 next year... I'm really excited, yay! But I am worried about my soaping supplies. If I package them up to be shipped via the shipping company I can't tell what sort of temperatures everything will stay at (worried mainly about FO's) and then I can't say how long they will be in storage until we can find a permanent residence. Do you think it would be best to just make a ton of soap within this time that I have and get my FO's and oils used up? Or should I try to find a good way to store them? Thanks for any advice or opinions!

Good luck on your moving! FO's get shipped all the time. I live in the desert and they come to me warm. I would think shipping them would be fine, then store them in a temp controlled environment in the storage place.

That's the problem, we don't have access or choice (that I know of) of which shipping company will be used for the move (we're military and will be utilizing TMO who handle household shipping contracts) so I don't know if the shipping company will have temperature controlled storage...
