hi guys!

can i just tell you how much i HATE calculating shipping?

i'm setting up a new website, and i'm using Mal's Ecart. I know there's a bunch of people on here that use Mal's.

How did you set up your shipping? Could someone please shed some light on this?

I've tried to set it up similar to Etsy, but an order of 2 items shows up as $90 in shipping costs. (Gosh could you imagine?!?!)

ARRRGGhh...

I don't know about Mal's myself but there are people who might be able to get you all set up/configured correctly for a small fee. i.e. you could hire a virtual assistant or other type of temporary contractor to do this for you. Just hop over to an RFP board like the one at vanetworking dot com or something like that. Elance might also be a resource.

Another shopping cart option is 1ShoppingCart which I've worked with and isn't too bad to set up.

I really felt your pain though. Having spent so many years working with online businesses, including my own, I know how utterly frustrating shopping carts can be. LOL. I've stayed up many a late nights mucking around with that kind of stuff and wanting to pull my hair out

mal's is pretty easy to use, but shipping for me causes much hair loss. i guess im lookig for a one-size-fits-all type shipping option and there just isnt one.

maybe someday when we can beam soaps to our customers, i'll feel better about it! LOL!
