Teach Soap

I am brand new to soaping. I have been having a blast learning about and trying different methods of soap making. I am very curious to ask those that do sell their soaps about what sells better for them, mp or cp soaps? My personal preference is cp soap because I love the feel of it but I wonder if the general public feels the same. Since mp soap can be so colorful, artistic and eye catching I could imagine that it would have a pretty big draw. Appreciate any input!

At this point I would say it's about 50/50. Last year it was more CP soap.

I would say it really depends what people are looking for. I have a few friends with allergies who buy CP because they can control what ingredients they want to purchase. Then I have some customers that love the artistry of MP. It just depends who your customer base is in my opinion.

90% MP, 10% CP.

I am opposite of Margo, 90% cp, 10% m&p, but I have had years in the past where it was the other way around. It varies and cycles.

BTW I do better allergy wise with MP soap if it is a good base. Just throwing that out there because I'm finding customers that find it to be a good solution too.

My customers with allergies, sensitive skin, prefer the glycerin vegetable based MP to CP. I give out samples first to try before you buy, and they come back for the MP.

Its up to the customer and their skin imo.

Makes me wonder if I should be working on my M&P talent a little more?
