So I saw that in the vitamin section of the store there are SJWO capsules...well, IDK if it's Oil or in herb form (it had instructions on it for breaking open the capsule and putting it in a tea...)

Could I go through the labour of breaking these gel caps open and retrieving the oil or is the product not the same as what I'd get if I just bought the straight oil? Thx!

I would get straight oil. I don't know what other additives are in the caps. What were you planning on using it for?

I wanted to use it as a carrier oil for a massage for stiff muscles and such - really use the SJW for the properties it has and enhance it with compatible EOS.

You also could make an infused oil using the flowers (they contain the most therapeutic properties), then go from there. Your oil will turn red.
