Teach Soap

Hello all! I had a question. Some soaps/bath products I have seen on Etsy and on sites around the "interweb" have such cute labels and packaging. I just love some of the labels and wonder where people get most of their packaging/labels from? I am playing with soaps right now, going to hopefully make some sugar scrub cubes tomorrow (I'm a teacher and we have another snow day tomorrow!) and I've already made some regular sugar scrub and I want to make some milk bath, etc. If you have any suggestions, ideas on packaging for someone who isn't doing it full time, let me know. I am looking to add my products to my table this year...I make jewelry and did two events this year. I would love to sell some of my soapy and bath goods as well! Thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions or websites!

I would get PrintShop. They have lots of templates that fit Avery labels and lots of clip art.

I use Print Shop 23 , I love it, very user friendly. For packaging I went with black and white paper that I liked and a label, looks like this.

I like the packaging - very classy!

I love your packaging. I seem to go back and forth on what I want to do. Since I do not sell its no big deal. I have not used print shop for a long time... computer change. Maybe I should request this as a mothers day gift? Thanks for sharing.

I agree - great job!

I've recommended "Broderbunds PrintShop" in other posts for doing labels. I've used this program for many things, and as already stated, its very user friendly, comes with clipart, even though I don't use that feature, I use my own art/photographs. The ease of this program just for designing templates, in my opinion, is the best.

In each case, the only program that I've ever used was printshop. Over the years, I worked/searched hours for all the differnet free fonts, and there are a lot out there to have in my font library. I find this essential in finding just the right look. I've worked for hours/days on end designing/tweeking the look I want. I have finally finished the exausting task of getting it "just right" for me.

Here's an example of how I wrap my soap. Since mine is MP I don't use paper but instead it's put into a baggie. stapled with some cute paper and then a cute label.

Beautiful packaging. I use PrintMaster also a product of Broderbund. You can create just about any label using either of these desktop publishing programs.
