We had an earthquake around 11:45 this morning. I'm ok, but my house swayed pretty good. Prelim reports show it was 5.8

Glad to hear that you are ok. I hope there was not a whole lot of damage. I am so terrified of natural disasters. Thankfully, where I live, there aren't any.

The strange thing is that my dog was outside and started barking like crazy. Everything was quiet, so I couldn't understand what he was barking at til the quake hit. Then he didn't want to come back in. I bet he knew something was coming, just couldn't "tell" me.

They say that animals "know" if some calamity is about to happen and try to warn their owners or get away from the danger area. Maybe your dog was trying to do the same for you. Smart dog!
