Teach Soap

My soap room is in a basement bedroom and while I live in the desert, the basement can have damp air. I haven't had any problems yet, but would like to purchase a dehumidifier and there are so many to choose from. What brand do you use and what was the price? I would like a reasonably priced one that does a good job and that I don't have to empty all the time.

This is a great question. I wanted to get a dehumidifier as well but then read somewhere that they are not that great for curing soaps. Does anyone use them to sure their soaps? Has anyone had bad experiences (cracking etc.) when using a dehumidifier? Any additional information or experiences would be helpful.
