Hi Everyone -

Here's something that I always trip on when it comes to calculating your costs and materials. Here's the example:
1 pound Shea Butter: $9.25
4 ounces Preservative: $7.25
Delivery fee: $7.25 (2 products = $3.55 a piece)

When calculating cost per ounce do you divide the delivery fee by half (2 products) and add that to the calculation? $9.25 + $3.55= $12.80 and then do the rest of the other calculations from there.

I break the ingredients into ozs. Total weight for the shea butter and preservative is 20 ozs. Shipping $7.25
7.25 divided by 20 = .36 cents per oz.
Shea Butter 16 ozs. x 0.36 = $5.76 Total cost $15.01
Preservative 4 ozs. x 0.36 = $1.44 Total cost $8.69

um Soapbuddy, this makes a lot of sense. I'll do it this method. Pretty sure my numbers would look better...
