So I got so many compliments and questions about my packaging for my soap swap, I thought I would try my hand at a photo tutorial since it was so easy to do! So here goes!

First I start with my photo/card creating software (Mine is PictureIt Photo) and create the front of my bag using borders, some clipart, and my ingredients, etc. It's set up as a regular 8 1/2" x 11" paper. I centered the part you will see on the front of the bag between the 3" and 7" mark. Anything I want to show on the back of the bag I put on the left or right.

And I print it out.

I score one side about 1/2" from the edge.

Then I turn it over and run my taperunner around the whole thing.

I fold on my scored line, then match the opposite edges together.

When I turn it over, I make sure my front design is centered, and seal the top of the bag (The taperunner you applied earlier holds it together).

I use my crimper to crimp the top edge.

I put my soap inside, and do the same for the bottom edge.

Voila!

Good job! What kind of a crimper is this? Does it work for all paper? Is it expensive? Where could I find one?

No way! That is amazing home tools made this. Wow! Does the crimper just squeeze the paper so hard it stays together or is there any glue/tape involved?
