Hi all. Esty listing question..here's my scenario...
I arranged for a work colleague of my husbands to buy 6 soaps on Etsy just to get more learnings since it was a larger order and I could have it delivered to him at work (via my husband so I setup the shipping charge to $0.0). He wanted to buy of all things some French Flag soaps (thank goodness I was happy to remove some

from my inventory). I posted a "Reserve" listing and put in 6 items in stock at $4.25 and a little discount from my regular pricing and was charged $1.20 for the listing. Not having talked to him about how it works- I realized that he probably put 1 in his cart and paid, then he probably figured out that he had to buy the other 5.
In the future I'm wondering if for a 'reserve' listing I should have loaded the list as 1 in stock for $25.50 achieving two things 1. I might have only been charged .20 for the listing and 2. He would not have had to figure it out in two transactions.
The key from my perspective is simplifying it for the customer. Thankfully this is a nice guy who is aware I'm trying to figure the many aspects out of 'being an on-line retailer/hand crafter of fun smelling soaps'
Input?
