OMG!!! In the past couple of days I have had several people approach me and place orders for some of my b&b products and there was zero solicitation. :o I am not even a "business" yet...just nice dreams of it! I am still trying to figure out what I am doing! I have been showing the things I make to my friends and family and they all really enjoy what I've put out.
<<GASP>>
What if this actually takes off and more people start placing orders??? :shock: Sure I THINK I want that but what if I can't keep up? What if I mess up?
Any words of encouragement?
Any screams of "RUN!!! GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!!"
Have any of you known of someone who is afraid of success? :oops:
UGH! I think I just hit a different level.
Gonna go post this in another forum and then be sick now.

Oh soapbuddy thanks! I hardly slept at all last night. Wondering...worrying. I guess I just have to sit down and figure the best way to tackle these orders because I hand't even gotten any stock built up of what they are ordering. I didn't think I'd need to just yet. Nothing is really too difficult to make.
Okay...I need to make a list and then just tackle it, huh?

OMG OMG OMG

Do I need to charge taxes????

I would have to ask if THIS is your passion? If it is and people are recognizing your talent, then perhaps "there's your sign"!! Don't allow fear and worry to possess you....plan your work and work your plan. Taxes are easy...just register with the State of Texas and get your tax I.D. number. You report your earnings to them, pay what's due--the info is on their website. Sales tax in Texas is 8.25%, unless your area adds additional taxes. Anyway, if you truly WANT to go into business and are willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work, then girlfriend....as Joyce Meyer says "If you want to walk on water, you gotta get out of the boat". In other words, you gotta MOVE forward! Failure is in never having tried at all. GOOD LUCK!!

One more thing...it isn't usually SUCCESS we fear...it is failure! If you are successful (and you will be if you want it bad enough), then the rest will come! Network, network, network!! I started my own bed & breakfast a year and 3 months ago and I still have my struggles...but I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that THIS is what I am supposed to be doing! It is my passion and people recognize that I'm good at it! :D

Wow that's exciting!! Get used to the roller coaster ride and enjoy the "ups" cuz you just know there will be some "downs". Virginiaroseinn has some sound words of advice, network, network, network, don't try and take on too much to start with, the internet is you best friend (and Teach Soap!) and believe in yourself and your product, obviously someone else does already!
