Learned that lesson the hard way yesterday! So I made about a dozen melt and pour sweet pea pink flowers and a dozen Berrywine flowers with my two petite bendy flower soap molds! They turned out adorable though I will say it took tons of color block on the sweet pea to get a barely there color but that another lesson learned!
I used the Shea base because I'm a snob when it comes to making things myself and try to use the best. I had packaged these soaps to give to my mothers coworkers (they work full time in a deli and that's some labor on the hands!) because who would be the best judge of skin improvement if not them? Here I thought I was being smart letting my mother choose who to give them to. I told her the ingredients, emphesized that the base was Shea and talked about how the scents are this and that and all this good stuff.
She mentioned NONE of that when she handed them out!
I'm just lucky nobody had a Shea allergy or skin sensitivity to anything I've used (or at least that anyone has admitted
)!
So in short if you want to be safe do it yourself. Or at least answer questions and point out any possible reactionary ingredients! Needless to say my mom isn't going to be handing out soap anymore!
