Teach Soap

I will be participating in my first festival in Oct. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH STUFF TO BRING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have emailed the chamber of commerce several times who is in charge of it asking for estimate of attendees and if I will be the only other soap maker there with no response So this is what I am thinking. It is only 6 hour festival so maybe a few thousand people? right now I am looking at 336 bars of soap ( 6 scented 1 non scented ) 100 body butters ( 6 scents ) 60 liquid soaps ( 4 scents 1 unscented 12 of each ) 120 lip balms ( 6 flavors ) and 60 candles ( 7 scents ). Does this look about right?

I think your are bringing plenty for one day. Good luck!

Great then! I did check my email and they finally got back to me. She said last year the police estimated about 4,000 people. She also said there would be a heritage crafter demonstrating CP soapmaking and will also be selling some of her things but they said they would put me in a completely different area and thinks there should be enough customers for us both.

I think that will be plenty of product for a 6 hour show. Is any of your product "Halloween" themed? Perhaps some is "Christmas" themed? Just a thought since it is in October. Now for the other stuff:

table
chair
$1, $5, $10 for change
Duct tape
scissors
cooler with beverages/food
Is there electric? 25' - 50' electrical cord with 3 prongs
surge protector strip so you can plug extra stuff in
fan
table cloth/table skirt
bags for product sales
apron with pockets to wear for money storage
business cards if you have them
power cord for cell phone
square card reader if you'll be accepting credit cards (takes a couple of days to set up)
hand cart to lug boxes of product

I also bring a wet washcloth in a plastic bag to wipe my hands with after setting up all the soap. This is very useful if outside and no bathroom facilities are near. And a notepad/pen in case someone has a request, wants to leave their phone/email address, or just for jotting things down as you think of them so you won't forget by the time you get home!
