I plan on using glassine bags as my packaging to put my soaps in. I can close them up by folding the tops...but I'm wondering if I need to wrap them in something additional for shipping? I would like to only use shredded paper as filler for the empty space in the box, but not sure if that will be enough to protect it? I'm just trying to avoid using plastics, anything that isn't environmentally-friendly, or anything else that can't be recycled.....

Hi Stacey. My experiments with glassine envelopes to test how they hold up over time have gone very well. I haven't shipped in them, but I'd bet they would do fine. I wrapped in glassine, boxes, deli sheets and tissue paper. I even moved with them. All of them have done well. :D
