Teach Soap

How would you wrap something like soap on a rope or a specialty soap like this one?


Would the saranwrap method work? What have you found that works best in keeping your oddball soap fresh???

I think for that particular one, a shrink bag or even a gusseted poly bag tied with ribbon would work well. You can usually get shrink wrap for nearly anything, any size, and shape of m&p.

If it were MP, I'd use the saran wrap + heat gun combo (very light on the heat).

If it were CP, I'd put it in a cello bag.

To be clear, shrink wrap is for m&p only, CP/HP soap needs to breath. The picture was of m&p, so I thought that was what the question pertained to.
Although....they do now have a micro-perforated shrink wrap that is appropriate for cp/hp soaps!

Thanks! And yes I was referring to MP, sorry I didn't say that before. Eventually I will give CP a go, but for now it's just MP. How would you use the saranwrap method on soap on a rope though? would you just wrap the rope up too? I was hoping to be able to hang it on display....

If it were a soap on a roap, I'd wrap only the soap part leaving the rope exposed, unless I was concerned about the rope getting dirty from moving/set-up/handling, etc.
