So I have repurposed my extra-virgin coconut oil for cooking!
(Of course I am not going to use the 92 degree stuff)

Chips taste terrific:

Peel potato and cut into chips. Boil in salted water until they just begin to break up. Carefully drain and pat dry with kitchen roll. Place in hot coconut oil and fry until browned.

We use it when making popcorn. Tastes so much better than regular vegetable oil.

It's awesome for frying! I use it in place of olive oil for pan frying all the time. You can cook at a much higher temp before reaching the smoke point.

My dad actually puts a tablespoon of coconut oil in his coffee every day for the health benefits. It's really great for brain function!

Dogs love it on their food too. A tablespoon mixed in with their dry food helps with digestion and a silky coat.

I'm beginning to notice some effect:
My skin is in better condition than normal this time of year.
Also, I have had tinnitis in my left ear for a very long time. It seems to be reducing.

I'm glad it's working for you barquentine. I use coconut oil in baking and cooking on a regular basis along with olive oil. After my gall bladder surgery, I can't eat anything fried. I have tinnitus that's been there for about 10 years. It didn't make any difference for me.
