So this weekend I had the oddest comment ever from a lady at the market.

She picks up a lavender soap (eo) says mmm beautiful, then asks for unscented so I point her towards a couple, hmmm (get the impression she thinks they're boring, nose smooshed up against them, 'but they've got no smell?!?', they are full of delicious ingreds & milks etc)then decides what she really wants is an unscented lavender!!!

Ummm, come again? asked her a little more hoping to clarify but no, a scented, unscented soap was what she wanted!!! I just said, no sorry, I have lavender or unscented ( & a gazillion other scents!) I really think it's quite funny!

Any little gems you ladies would like to share? :D

I think she's sniffed way too much lavender in her time... it's affected her brain. :?

Customers are funny!
I've had comments like is this cheese or fudge? I had one little boy take a bite out of my soap before I could stop him. The expression on his face was priceless! I wish some parents would keep an eye on their little "darlings" better.

I have all my soaps on a tiered shelving system type thing. I have one row specifically of unscented/uncolored. Without fail, that's always the ones people want to pick up and smell! I finally made a sign pointing to them that says "unscented"

One thing that consistently cracks me up is how somebody comes up and looks at all the scented soaps on my table (probably 30 to 40 different ones at any given time) and asks for something unscented. I point them to the basket with the "Naked Oatmeal", they grab one and say thanks, then say that they're just gonna sniff a few of the others. Then they put the unscented one down, buy several of the scented ones and go away happy. The Naked Oatmeal soaps are getting old and I'm gonna have to re-wrap them so they look fresh again, but, hey, whatever it takes to sell the soap, right?!

I have to say that I like to sniff the unscented stuff. Just because a fragrance wasn't added by the maker doesn't mean it doesn't have an odor.

A question that I get regularly that I've always found kind of funny when it comes to soap is, "What is it for?"

I LOVE, love, love the smell of my unscented GM soaps. I could smell them all day!

my dad smelled my unscented soap I made after I had told it was unscented. I cracked up laughing becuase it was just your plain white base. nothing added,
so there was no smell. then he said it smelled like oatmeal.. when it was not oatmeal.... way too funny..

I had one lady who had a booth across from me admit that when I was setting up my cupcake bath bombs she was worried that she'd be sitting across from the cupcake booth all day - and that it would totally ruin her diet! lol
