I am very close to breaking down and purchasing a nice soap cutter. I am currently using a cheese cutter, and while it does well so far I am thinking of splurging a little just for me :)

I really don't want to spend a lot and have been checking out Etsy. I found two that I am interested and wanted to get an idea of how thick of a bar does everyone usually cut. Right now I cut about an 1 inch thick. This cutter that I have been admiring cuts the bars a bit heavier, 1 1/4. What do you think?

Per the seller description, each is custom made. Why don't you contact them to see if they will make one that will give you 1" bars?

It looks like a nice one. I prefer the Tank since it's metal and I can rinse it off.

I have just ordered this cutter from Bud & my Gran has left me a message to say a parcel has arrived at her place.
This is the only parcel I'm expecting so first thing tomorrow, into town I go!!! :lol:

He was super fast & friendly with communication & happily made mine with 'custom' bar sizes. Great to deal with!

He does a 1" & a 1 1/4" cutter as standard. HTH :D

Thanks for sharing it Rox. I really like the look of it and I cut my bars so they weigh six oz or more. I like a thicker bar.
