Anyone else working on their bookkeeping? I am... spent today going through filing and a huge pile of receipts. I'm using Quickbooks... which I really know nothing about but which seems easy to use.

Anyone have any quick tips for me? It seems like such a paperwork pain in the butt! Especially with all these little $5-$10 sales. I've grouped some together for markets and things where I counted one day's total as one sale. But is that really legal? I have no idea... it's a whole lot easier! :lol:

*sigh* Next I get to figure out my online stuff...

Just had to stop by and complain and hope there's others doing the same thing that might want to commiserate with me. :lol:

In my state small businesses need to file their paperwork and pay their sales tax by the end of January, so I'm trying not to stress myself out by waiting till the last minute. Especially since I haven't done it before and I don't want to scramble if I run into any road blocks.

ha! i'm lucky if i do my paper work quarterly. this year i was so behind, i added up all of my invoices and posted them to quarterly sales receipts instead of individual customers. just remember to separate your taxable from non-taxable income. :shock:

learned that the hard way....
