Daisy (my dd) had a head of hair just like that. She never lost it but it started to grow in blonde. Now she is 11 and it is starting to darken again. It is the weirdest thing. Ivan is adorable by the way and I am glad to hear that he is doing well and home with his mommy and daddy and grandma!

Thank you. My son lost his job a couple of days ago and I don't know what he's going to do. I told him about some of the programs that are available here in California, but even these programs are cutting back. Right now it sucks.

Just catching up---- was wondering how everyone knew about a baby..... anyway---- congrats! Nothing like a rough start! The great thing is that having family is so comforting. Things always seem to happen for a reason--- the ol' one door shuts, another one opens thing. Your son is in a terrific field so hopefully he can free lance or pick up another position soon. We always tell our kids in the worst scenario they can come home until they can get back on their feet. We have 5 kids between 19 & 30 and fortunately, they have only come home to visit! You have the tough job of being the calm comforting Grandma --- a very rewarding job really. Prayers and thoughts.( and make sure DIL stays on her iron )

Son, his wife and baby came for a visit today. I could have sworn that baby Ivan looked bigger today. I held him for about 2 hours and he was a very good boy. My son has no job prospects yet. I hope that changes soon.

Oh my goodness what a big beautiful baby!!! I had big babies too. It's some sort of genetic flaw in our family...little tiny women, enormous babies.

Is your DS determined to stay in CA? My hubby's in IT and might have some connections. A friend of mine's hubby just started a job with a Christian broadcast company in VA. He's older and rather high up and might have some ideas. Job hunting these days is hit or miss.

My DH left for Phoenix today for a week.

So sorry to hear about the job loss. Keep positive. He's in a good field & should be able to bounce back into something soon. Very cute picture of Dad & son. Treasure these days, they grow fast as you well know.

We loose about half of our population when it gets into triple digit heat. It's been pretty quiet around here. Traffic is pretty light.
