But the REAL question, Irena, is this:

CAN disco be taught? Or does one have to be born with "it"?

I was hanging out with a great group of gay men when "Its Raining Men" was released. If you were out at the gay bars, and that song came on, you had to get onto the dance floor FAST or get trampled by the stampede of overly excited men! Good thing I could run in heels in those days and usually made it there first, safe and sound.

Once in a great while, I'd trip - then see my life flash before my eyes. Then I'll yell to my friends from the dirty bar floor: "Save yourselves! Go on without me!!!!!"

I too have ADD so I have to read and re read my recipe one hundred times and say the measurements over and over in my head as well ! so I need silence ... lol. now cleaning is a different story! I love Eliza Doolittle ..

I mainly soap in silence but sometimes chuck on anything from 'opera' to hip hop & just about anything you can imagine in between!

If I'm in the kitcken cooking (boring!) or cake decorating (soaping is WAY more fun!) then it's just about always Les Miserables 10th anniversary!

I always put music on. I may not be listening but I always have it on. That's why I'm already getting tired of Christmas music as my local radio stations have gone to all Christmas, all the time. LOL that must be why playlists were invented!

I learn so much when I can't leave well enough alone!

I'm very new to soaping, so I haven't gotten my feet too wet with the best music for the task, but I tend to listen to surf music (The Venutres, soap Dale, The Chantays, Los Straightjackets, etc. If it's instrumental, with the prominent instrument being twangy guitars, I'm happy). But then, I tend to listen to this much of the time anyway. (My last birthday party had a Hawaiian/surf theme. Don't even ask how a guy turning 42 wound up with kiddie pools and a pony at his party.....when there were no kids anywhere in sight.)

I also have a wireless audio link from the living room TV to the kitchen, so I've been known to listen to the news when I'm working in there. (I work in TV news, so it's sort of like doing my homework.)

I play Pandora Today's Hits radio station when I'm soaping. Unless I'm doing something new, in which case I much prefer silence.

I dont listen to music I listen(watch while waiting for lye and oils to cool) to old dvds
