Teach Soap

I think that most people appreciate hand crafted items opposed to store bought stuff. Giving something that you made yourself is more appreciated....at least I think so. I make old time Italian cookies, jars of seasoned/fruited rice mix, and soap. All of which are used and well received. I even get requests for the flavor of Italian cookies right before the holidays because people look forward to them.

I think everybody is running a little tight on funds this year because of the misdirected financial experts digging us deeper into debt.

Sigh... it's the same situation here in Australia sadly.

I'll be making soaps this year (ofcourse) and we just do a lucky dip (with inexpensive little gifts ie. toothbrush, socks, lollies, etc) for my family. For the kids in our family they get a gift, but there's not too many to buy for.

As for cards, I don't have the time/patience but I tend to buy WWF or Guide Dogs cards so that the profits at least go to a good cause. I don't send out nearly same amount as I used too as I found the favour wasn't being returned IYKWIM
