I don't have any real advice, Linda, but I did want to say congratulations on the business opportunity! I've never had my product in a store, but I've heard about the potential pitfalls of consignment. It seems to me wholesale might be a better way to go since you get paid and the shop owner takes it from there. I realize your arrangement wouldn't exactly be consignment, but it seems that you would have to sell a lot of product to make a profit if you're paying $100/month to rent the space and the shop also keeps a portion of each sale.
