That's true - different vendors will have different amounts that they suggest you using. The average is between 2-5% total weight of the product. This doesn't work out well in terms of drops but generally, you can expect to use 2-5 drops of flavor per lip balm tube. Of course, weighing is much more accurate but if you're just starting out, sometimes, it's hard to get the hang of it without a digital scale. =)
