I hope everything panned out for you. I recently got a message on Etsy from a woman who owned a business on the East Coast that wanted to wholesale specific items. I asked what quantity since I specialize in small batch but I never heard back. The womans business was legit and she (or whoever messaged me) used the name of the owner. Oh well, no big deal. :/

I totally understand the euphoric feeling. I was asked by ABC television to make a necklace for a prime time show a couple of years ago and the piece was actually part of the subject of the show.

Don't forget when you're getting payment that if a sale starts in Etsy you must collect payment through Etsy. If not you run the risk of fee avoidance and it can cause you a lot of heartache. I hope this turned out well for you.

I'm so glad I happened on this topic. I'm a small soaper but have a very small client base. I do really well at Christmas tho. I have a lady that would like to have my products go into a boutique she is establishing on her farm property. It hasn't opened yet and I have some products for her and made some soap exclusively for her boutique. I have no idea how much to charge. I don't think she does either. Do I up my price and then she gets a percentage or do I just leave my price and she gets a percentage? And how much 70/30 60/40? I had one lady that had a consignment store and she wanted my products but she was going to charge me 20.00 a month for her cc fee and she was using a percentage of 60/40. I also would of had to mail everything to her. My price point is on the low end and I figured it wouldn't be profitable for me to do. But this boutique is literally one minute away from me. I don't want to pass up on this opportunity. Any suggestions?

Hello! Well, it turned out that my "brand" wasn't what she was looking for for the fall/holiday season. Which is kinda like "really?" You never asked about my fall/holiday items--just for a few samples. Oh well, live and learn. I'm only out a few buck for my super small sized samples and postage. No worries.
