Not really any where else i can share my excitement with other soap makers other than here, so hope it's ok to post here.

Just got my HUGE order in today:

5kg shampoo base

foaming bath butter

shea butter and cocoa butter

sweet almond oil, rosemary oil and lime oil

Lime, Basil & Mandarin Fragrance Oil and Apple & Cinnamon Fragrance Oil

Bentonite Clay and shaving brushes ohh and tamper evident tubs (250ml)

Still waiting for gelatine, bicarbonate of soda and citric acid ohh and plastic cocktail glasses.

Hoping to make shampoo bars, jelly soap in the cocktail glases and create them to look like cocktail drinks such as Cosmopolitan's, shaving bases with brushes, massage bars, bubble bars, bath bombs, body butter bars, lip balms and whipped body creams

All my friends think i'm crazy when i get excited about new orders and new recipes i want to try but i just love love love trying my hand at new bath and body recipes

What does everyone else like making? what do you find works best for you? And what would you say is your best ingredients for making stuff?

Congratulations on your order, Suzanne! Everyone here understands the joy of getting an order of supplies in. I love making cold process soap. It turns out that addiction keeps leading to others like liquid soap, sugar scrubs, lip balms, bath bombs, etc. Yesterday I got a small order in full of fragrance oil samples that I can't wait to soap. Have fun!

YAY for you! I love getting my orders. Happy dance!
I do mostly CP soap, but also lip balms, solid lotions, salves and lotions. I just placed an order for lots of jars, lids, lip tubes and lotion bottles. Plus a few fragrance oils to keep things exciting.

Sometimes A Mistake is so much fun, You just have to do it again!

I did the happy dance when my order came in. So I totally get it.
I'll be making my first soap bar next week, when the kids are in school (weekends are too crazy).
But as soon as my box got here I pulled it all out, sniffed all the FO's, set everything in its place in the soap cabinet.

as i'm totally new to this forum i'm not sure how to post pictures. But i'll figure it out soon

It's so lovely to be able to share the love for soap making with other soap makers. My friends just don't understand the thrill i get from it all, lol

There seems to be a huge love for soap making in the USA and Australia, but here in Scotland and the UK there doesn't seem to be enough soaping communities

On the plus side though, it makes us UK soap makers different from all the other crafters like jewellery makers and such

currently my hands smell of apple and cinnamon, mmmmmm YUM

What do you all love making best?

Linda, I know just how you feel! Sometimes my nose just doesn't get it! I ordered sample fo's from NG: Bay Rum, Hippy Christmas, Honey Bunny, Hot Cocoa, Kismet, Peppermint Patty, Sweet Orange Chili Pepper, Vanilla Champagne, Wild Wild West, and Winter Garden. I've only soaped Winter Garden (OMG even DH said it's strong) and Sweet Orange Chili Pepper (I'm in love! Of course that's partially because I tried Tomato Red for the first time!). Sharing the soaping thrill is a major reason to join the forum! That way everyone can enable your addiction.

This is my Sweet Orange Chili Pepper test batch. I peeled the freezer paper away too soon I know but I just had to peek. Wouldn't you know it's getting a hint of ash despite dousing with RA!
