Have your favorite soaping supply website down for 3 or 4 days. However this also increases annoyance levels and ARG I want to buy more of that FO levels. Come on Canwax! Fix your site!

Curious about your experiences with CanWax....
I bought some FOs last fall that they said, (over the phone to me) were skin-safe.
I called to reorder a couple of weeks ago,and the guy (who said he was one of the owners) told me that NONE of their fragrances are skin safe, and NEVER HAVE BEEN. That they are ALL for candles ONLY.

And he was quite sure of himself, and not overly polite about it.

I've not really had any experience with them. I just order stuff and request that they make sure the lids are on tight because I've gotten some bottles of FO that had leaked away 1/2 of their contents. Their site states that some of the fragrances are "CP soap tested" I should hope that means skin safe!!! That being said, none of their FOs have irritated my skin yet, and I have sensitive skin.

Usually I deal with Voyageur Soap and Candle, and Creations From Eden. Both have been super nice and their products are great. I will probably still use them when I am in NJ, along with BB of course!!!

I told the owner that I had used some of their FOs in soap, and I was concerned to hear that they were NOT skin safe (after the fact!)
He said "it doesn't matter if FOs are skin safe, because soap is a wash-off product."

I see his point, but I quite disagree.

No more FOs from them, at least for me, because their info is too sketchy and their owners and employees contradict themselves!

I emailed to ask if the CP tested FOs were in fact skin safe. I see that one of the owners is a man named Don, maybe it was him you spoke to? I won't be buying from there again, iffy products are bad enough, but rude folks and those that don't know their own products are a big no-no for me! Soo can't wait to order from BB!

Yeah - me too! So why did the owner of the company say that none of them were skin safe? He flat out said they buy only from manufacturers who make candle fragrances, and that you have to do your own testing to see if they are skin safe!

And this was a loooooong, detailed conversation - no room for misunderstandings!

Maybe he was drunk...stoned....who knows? But it is too scary for me, esp when there are lots of other wonderful suppliers out there who actually KNOW something about the products they sell!

For sure Irena! I love that Anne-Marie is on the boards too, and how fast she moved when someone had an issue with an FO. Wooosh! She was in the lab testing it (again)! Too awesome

I LOVE the BB fragrances, but a lot of the can't be shipped across the border, or by air because of the flashpoint. For all my fellow Canadians, there is a supplier here that carries BB stuff.

Somebody let me know if it is ok to post their name/link on this forum. You are still, in essence (so to speak!) buying from Brambleberry.

I am in Canada and would love to know who sells BB FO`s here.
