Help me out geeky soap makers!
I have procrastinated on a task The Boyfriend has been pestering me about: learning how to open my laptop to clean the fan and get dust and other crap outta there. Our house has plenty of dust and the fan is getting louder and louder - obviously needs a little TLC.
Now - I am smart but not a "natural geek" - machines and I have had a long relationship of dancing around each other. I designed and built the desktop I am using at the moment (which I call "April II" - for the first month or so I was amazed the thing turned on and worked - I kept expected it to blow up and say "oh, you THOUGHT you could build a computer, huh?") - with lots of support but NOT the kind that gives me the answer on a silver platter. Love The Boyfriend to death but he thinks everyone should be a tech geek. Not that learning more about computers is a BAD thing - but I have a horrible time getting started. But its never as bad as I think its going to be once I get going.
I've watched dozens of videos on how to do it - so almost ready. But it doesn't help that each one starts with the disclaimer: "WARNING: If you open your laptop it might not work again." Gee - thanks for the encouragement. And prying the keyboard off the front does NOT look easy. Yipes.
So I told myself: "NO SOAP until you clean your laptop".
I need a virtual kick in the you know what.
