I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I'm just missing the stainless steel stuff. I put out a request to freecycle today. Target's stuff is too $$$$$. If all else fails I will be back to Big Lot as I think they had SS mixing bowls - or Walmart which I don't want to to do.

Thanks Linda, good to know! I am not going over 2# for my first try. Is 1# even possible? (have not done a calculator yet)

Closed minds are like faulty parachutes; they refuse to open.

My scale defaults to grams! There is an oz setting but I've never been able to get it to work. So yes, it works great in grams.

However I may stick to 2# then to be safe - though I'll still have to do everything in grams to eliminate calculation errors.

This type of bucket is great!

I have the 2L & 5L also, the 2L i use for smaller batches but it is also just enough to hold the oils for my 5lb batches.
I weigh out oils in 1 go, fill all my buckets & then lid them until I'm ready to soap. Works great & saves me heaps of time! I hate lugging heavy oils to the kitchen every time!

I do the same Rochy! I use the 2L for my smaller batches, or use it to hold the coconut oil and such that needs to be melted for larger batches. So far they appear microwave proof too!!

I will look for them! I have a big one that I use for my window reglazing supplies but when I bought that, they didn't have small ones like it. The small ones I was thinking of are very flimsy. I've used them for shellacing my floors.
