Teach Soap

I am so TIRED. My hands hurt from spending about 10 hours yesterday making lables and packaging soaps up for my first sale this weekend...I do believe I am well past the point of worrying that I dont have enough. It was a truely crappy day to start off with. My dogs couldnt handle the turkeys in the garden anymore and went THROUGH the fence. I heard that tale-tell ping of wire and rushed out. Started yelling at dogs and managed to get 3 out of 4 in the house. Took 1/2 an hour to find the other one. Then spent two hours trying to find a bird that was missing to no avail. So they managed to kill one of my birds but could not find the carcass to bury/burn it so the coyotes will stay away, Later in the afternoon we could see the buzzards circling in the back. (woods are so dense you cant get back there). So the dogs were literally on the crap list yesterday. While we are out looking for the bird, my mom hi-jacks me to put up her deer feeder since the men in our lives won't do it. ( I got back at her and made her wrap soaps with me) Needless to say I was in a bad mood with too much to do and too many distractions.

Then there is the roomate. Who I dearly love, but she makes me freaking crazy sometimes. And this week has been exceptionally full of crazy. I am about to really hurt her feelings if she doesnt just shut up. I have crap to do, I dont have time to hand hold her through her to do list. On top of that while I was working on my soaps she comes over and snatches up 2 of my MP soaps with dragons on them. Tells me she will pay for them. I told her I would make her more later, but she wants them for her bath today. Puts them in her room then DOESNT use them before going to spend the night at her boyfriends house. Not to mention no money changed hands, I am out of MP and dont have time to make soap this week. I really wanted those for the event which is full of freaks and people that love dragons!!!

Then this morning, I wake up with chigger bites, behind the knees, around the ankles, and for GODS sake, one on my collar bone that is driving me crazy. I have to make spaghetti for our ladies meeting. I am just tired thinking about everything I have to do today.

Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent and cant put some of this on my blog since Mom and the roommate read it.

P.S. How can I have just spent all that time packaging soaps only to look at my curing rack still FULL of soap. I think it multiplies while I sleep.

I do TOTALLY understand. I am a single Mommy of an adopted 6 y.o. and work nights. I get home at 4am and her child care doesn't allow pickups until 5am. Get her home and to bed and, gee, it's 5:30am. Have to be up at 6:50am to get her up and ready for school at 8am so there's no point in going to bed until after she goes to school. Then I get 6 hours of sleep. I love the school year because in the summer vacation time I only get 3-4 hours at most . . . and the housework is never ever done -- by the time you get through it all you'd think you never did it in the first place (floors get washed but who'd know it 15 minutes after it is dry?). When she was an infant, the house was impeccably clean but I only slept an hour at a time because she wasn't the best at breathing (not an optional thing either!). She's wonderfully healthy now.

Can you violate roommate code of ethics and "borrow back" the dragon soaps? Get a dog house big enough for all of them and lock them in there when necessary (roommate and Mommy included!).

Where are you? Anywhere near Las Vegas? I will help you wrap, etc. I'll even loan you my soaps if you need more for your show. I understand needing a hand once in awhile. OOps . . . just saw you were in the Gulf Coast of TX. I guess that eliminates me wrapping. I still wish you a ton of sales at your show!

I appreciate the offer. Yeah I am down here about 30 minutes from Galveston and 30 minutes from Houston. Although California sounds nice right about now. LOL. I cant believe I signed up to make spagetti at 8 o clock in the morning. The only excuse I have is....although the women in this club are homemakers, they are some of the worst cooks. I usually only get a taste of what they are serving and throw it away quickly. I like when my group brings the food, there is always something tasty there

I want to appropriate those soaps back, but man, I do not want to deal with the aftermath...wait maybe she will move out...hmmm gotta rethink this one. LOL.

The dogs are normally inside because of the heat, but since the mornings have been cooler, I have been trying to get them to spend more time outside. Now I am babysitting their trips. One of them is still worked up about the birds and is trying to find a way out of the yard. I guess I am going to have to fork out more cash for another electric fence...sigh

Sounds like a trying day to say the least. Good luck at the market. I can sympathize as this week I've been scheduled in 57 hours and when I come home it's to the project of re-wiring the entire house, cooking, cleaning, and making certain areas not torn apart ready for entertaining guests.

thank you guys. So far today has been somewhat restful, with the ladies meeting taking up the morning, and me avoiding coming home. When I did get home I had a bramblebox and a box of lotion bottles on the front step...I blurted out.."OMG they are trying to kill me!!"

It is so hard to believe that my hands still hurt from yesterday. So I am off to take a short nap, then finish up wrapping the soaps tonight, so I can make bath fizzies tomorrow.

...what a great nap, man I needed that. AND my workload just got a lot lighter. Its going to rain this weekend, so there is NO way that I am taking bath fizzies. LOL
