This is a huge set of shelves. I am currently kinda using it in my bedroom. I am moving an was thinking about repurposide it for soap curing but wanted input from you all. There are 5 shelves and is very wide, but my question is are the bars too far apart? I am using the wodden molds from BB so you can approxamate my bar size. So what do you guys think? It would hold a ton of soap if I could use it.

I would use paper of some sort or thin plywood over the metal. Some metal can cause DOS.

forgot to mention that in my current location I have been using the storage shelves and the shelves are some kind of plywood or something.

I've had my thin plywood cut at the hardware store to fit my shelves. Freezer paper will also work.

Will the metal bars leave dents in the soap? I've heard people concerned about that before.

Home Depot / Lowes have lots of cheap things you can get cut to fit the shelving space - regular plywood, or they usually have big sheets of peg board that's light weight or in the roofing area are foam sheets really cheap. I cut one of those up and put a layer of freezer paper on top because I wasn't sure what type of metal my shelf was made of.

My curing shelves are a couple of metal shelving units we used in a pantry. Using freezer paper under the curing soap lets me move the soap if needed. You just pull the end of the paper toward you while sliding a flat cookie pan underneath the paper/soap.
