Teach Soap

I was wondering what the general feeling is on matching colour to scent? I typically try and do it, but I made some candles the other day and I used a fragrance called Christmas Eve..well..what does that look like? I ended up making it purple, just because I wanted to use my purple dye and haven't had a reason to. My husband keeps telling me I can make them whatever colour I want, and I guess he's right, I just have it in my head that my colours should try and match the fragrance, so when you look at it you have an idea of what you're going to be smelling..anyone else feel this way?

I do the same thing, trying to match colors. But I figured out that in the end it doesnt matter. Peoples brains will adjust their noses to the color. So you could color it yellow and scent it with cherry and they will still smell Lemons.

Sometimes I match them, and sometimes I go the complete opposite direction. Like purple for a snow scent. Green for a rose. Orange for a blueberry. Soap is all about being creative, you don't HAVE to do what is expected!

I do both. My pink-colored Energy FO soaps didn't sell, so I did 2 more batches in different colors, and they didn't sell either. So sometimes, it's not the color that's the problem!
