Teach Soap

Is it just me or have a lot of spam mails been getting through to inboxes lately? All of my email addresses are getting nailed, even the private one that is only used for Warcraft! Even my husband's comcast account is getting hit. Ugh. I hate spam mail.

I love Spam, but hate Spam email... I think I get a lot because of all the freebies I sign up for.

there are a ton of spams but I can pretty much relate all of mine to things that I did. I signed up at couponsdotcom so I could print out coupons and got hit with a hail storm of spam. Signed up for my dba and tax permit...got hit not only with spam, but texts and phone calls. I know about the permit before it came in the mail, all because of the phone calls trying to get me to sign up for credit card machines.

My ISP has a great spam filter, but lately there have been several a week that sneak through. Very annoying.

I keep getting things for soap and soap enlargement. I replied to one and asked them how much I'd need to take to grow a soap. They didn't get it. I don't know how they get my email, maybe Facebook? I don't really sign up for anything. The only thing I signed up for before this last onslaught was an MMS account. I doubt its from them.

I have noticed a lot of junk texts lately. Anyone else won a $1000 Target gift card in the last week or so?

I have a pretty good spam swatter, but some still get through. I just delete them. I won't reply as then they would know they have a live email address.

I think as the economy worsens we will see more of this as companies really try to get business.

Gmail handles the spam pretty well. Occasionally, real mail gets tagged, but it's usually selling something anyway.

I keep getting phone calls, though of the recorded "Rachel from card holder services about your credit card..." They want to help me lower my interest rate. Even though no credi card in their right minds would say "your credit card" without saying "your Missouri Trust Visa" or whatever. Oh, and we don't care about the interest rate, because we don't carry a balance. I hang up, but it's annoying. I know it's a scam for people to give them their CC information, and I so wish I could have law enforcement nail them!
